IC SUPPORTS LIGHT IN DONATION TO THE CHILDREN COUNCIL

In a solemnity occurred in February 2nd, 2010 in the Light’s auditorium, was officially registered the donation of R$ 649.000,00, accomplish by the company to the CEDCA - Conselho Estadual da Criança e do Adolescente (State Council of Children and of Adolescents).

The IC oriented the Light, through the program Renda Solidária, to do this donation through a mechanism of the renunciation fiscal, through FIA – Fundo para Infância e adolescência (Childhood and Adolescence Fund), witch the company ( if taxed by the real profit) , choose to lead until 1% of the tax rent to pay the States Conuncil.

This event was a clear demonstration of how the companies can and should use this important mechanism, seeking to maintain the recourses in our state, applied in programs that give assistance to children and adolescents.

The Instituto da Criança had begun this activity in 2004, collecting R$ 27.000,00. In 2009, reach a total of R$ 916.700,00. The action of the IC receive a fast recognition of the Dr. José Luiz Alquéres, Light’s president, when mentioned in your speech the importance of amplify the neology of this benefit.
