CORRENDO ATRÁS (RUNNING TO GIVE BACK)

A group of runners, among them our friend and volunteer Director of the Children's Institute, Cesar Lynch, will attend the Chicago Marathon on October 11, 2009. Together, they decided to devote the effort of the race to the Children’s Institute by everyone donating the amount of $1.00 per mile run, totaling R$42.00 per athlete.
We would like to invite you to also participate in this initiative by donating an equivalent amount or more in support for the athletes and thus enable the development of the actions of the Children’s Institute. Your membership, donation and spreading this campaign will make strides for the challenges of the Children's Institute in fulfilling its mission in "making a difference, transforming lives.

Warm-hearted. Donate coats!
Help the Children's Institute to make the winter season warmer for many people! Make clothing donations and encourage your friends to do so as well. IC will again start its traditional Winter Clothing Drive. Together we can change the reality for many people. Join us!
All donations collected will be passed on to the projects supported by the Children’s Institute.

RENDA SOLIDÁRIA 2008

Apart from counting on the financial collaboration from individual people and businesses, without any tax benefits, we also promote the Renda Solidaria Campaign, an initiative to gather income for the institutions that are supported by the Instituto da Criança. This is done through the income taxes paid by business and individuals, and part of that income tax is given to the Conselhos Municipais do Direito da Criança e o Adolescente or CMDCA (Municipal Council of the Rights of Children and Adolescents), which is associated with the institutions. It is an opportunity to help institutions that promote the welfare of children and adolescents by using the tax benefits for the declaration of the income tax. CIRCUITO ELEGANTE CAMPAIGN

Twenty-one small and large Brazilian hotels are participating on the campaign created by Circuito Grande, a partner of Instituto da Criança, whichvgive 50% discounts on the daily rates. For each package that is sold, 60% of the price is donated to the Instituto da Criança.
Some of the members are: Barra do Piúva Porto Hotel (Ilhabela/SP), Costão do Santinho Resort e Spa (Florianópolis/SC), Estalagem Wiesbaden (Monte Verde/MG), La Maison (Rio de Janeiro/RJ), Mata N'ativa Pousada (Trancoso/BA), Pousada Bromélias (Paraty/RJ), Pousada Corsário (Búzios/RJ), Pousada Vila Kalango (Jericoacoara/CE), Serhs Natal Grand Hotel (RN), Solar Fazenda do Cedro (Pedro do Rio/RJ), Vila d'este (Búzios/RJ). It isn`t necessary to go too far to feel cold.
Winter has arrived and Instituto da Criança initiated its traditional “Agasalho” Campaign. Join us! Donate the clothes that you no longer use and convince you friends to participate. All the donations that are collected will be used for the projects supported by the IC. Donations can be handed to Escritorio ICRJ: R. João de Barros 18, 3rd floor- Leblon, Rio de Janeiro. Business hours: 9:00- 11:00 and 15:00 to 17:00.

CAMPANHA DOS RESTAURANTES - NOSSA CONTA, POR FAVOR (RESTAURANT CAMPAIGN - “OUR CHECK PLEASE”

“Nossa Conta, Por Favor” or “Our Check, Please”, is a campaign for restaurants created by the Instituto da Criança that proposes to help strengthen and advertize the work of the IC.
Through this campaign, the Institute hopes to encourage restaurant clients, campaign supporters, to enter the IC website and understand better the best ways of helping the Institute and to see the various ways of making a difference and transform lives without having to leave their own realities.

CAMPANHA MÊS DAS CRIANÇAS - QUE TAL GANHAR UM SORRISO? (CHILDREN´s MONTH CAMPAIGN – IC 2007 HOW ABOUT GETTING SOME SMILES?)

October is the “Children´s Month” and Instituto da Criança gives you the opportunity to help children and get lots of smiles in return. We ask that you encourage your family and friends to collect toys, clothes and school supplies in good conditions throughout October and donate them to IC, who will distribute them among the children in its supported projects and institutions. Your help makes all the difference in our quest to give more and more children a brighter, happier and more dignified future. Sometimes human warmth is not enough. Be part of Instituto da Criança’s winter campaign. Separate some clothes that you don’t use anymore and encourage your friends to do the same.
